This digital story puts it into perspective for me... I have been struggling trying to figure out how I am going to do this. How can I actually get these kiddos involved in making the digital story but you have made this clear! So simple. Could even use a photo or photos of a child completing an activity and have them annotate that. Would be great for my S/L kiddos.
If you have an Ipad it is so easy! I'm telling you, one of my students created one in about 3 minutes. All it took was a photograph of her illustration and recording her voice through vimeo. I cannot wait to use this with students who struggle transcribing their thoughts into print, now they can dictate first and write later with their voice as the model!
Hi Kelly! What a great way to record their thinking! They always have soooo much to say at this age but it is sooo hard for them to get it all down on paper. I love it:)
Thanks, Kelly, for the reminder. In addition to encouraging people to upload to YouTube, I should more often recommend Vimeo, because it is less likely to be blocked in schools.

These are great examples of how simple a kindergarten story can be... one illustration with narration. Have you tried this in your class yet?
