  1. Looking great. Like the drawing, and the student spoke clearly. Nice job by both of you. Hope you and your students will create more digital stories--it is empowering for the students.

  2. Our class has not begun the digital storytelling project, so I'm thrilled to get a peak at your's! I agree with Judy -- this student provided a beautiful narration. I can only imagine how excited she was to put a voice to her picture and words. Are you familiar with LittleBirdTales? It is a FREE storytelling application that enables students to create visuals using an "artist's pad" (or you can download hand-drawn pics) and then narrate their illustration. I created a digital class book for my kinders last year -- I highly recommend the tool!

    1. Hi Andrea! I have checked out LittleBirdTales and was thinking of using it to make class books as well. Were your kids able to use the "artist's pad" by themselves, or did you have to sit with them while they created their images? How did the process go for each student...did it require one on one instruction?

    2. I ended up just scanning their illustrations and uploading them onto LittleBirdTales. Then, each child individually recorded his/her story. I did not have access to a SmartBoard or an iPad which would have made the artist's pad much more accessible. I found that trying to use the tools with a standard mouse was too difficult even though they were simple to use. If you happen to have these devices in your room, I think your little guys would be just fine!
